Art forms: Fine art and design

Summary: I am specialised in Japanese art and craft and I work on commission to create gifts such as boxes, decorations and paper jewellery. I also work and do research on drawing and painting with a specific interest in Zen brushwork and works on paper. I can teach privately in my studio or give workshops anywhere else at all levels. I can teach general art, basic drawing, pastels, ink, acrylic, gouache painting and origami craft (animals, flowers, boxes, dolls, jewellery).

Locations:  East Anglia (preferably Suffolk).

Experience:  I have been working as a professional artist and tutor for about 15 years.

Qualifications:  BA (visual arts), PG (Asian art), MA by research (fine arts).

Art forms: Visual artist, community engagement and public arts

Summary: Public and community engagement forms a large part of my practice, and I enable a range of art activities that includes painting (from individual work to large scale murals), assemblage using found objects, collage, and photo-transfer. My public arts commissions are usually informed by a community engagement process, and as well as public and private commissions, I undertake school residencies tailored to meet the needs of the curriculum and/or project theme in hand. I have worked with children and adults of all ages and abilities, and in institutions as diverse as schools, colleges, residential homes, museums and prisons. Projects range from one day drop-in workshops at fetes and fairs, Creative Partnerships school projects, artist residencies, and major public arts commissions. I have a clean driving licence, enhanced disclosure CRB, and public liability cover.

Katharine Moore

Summary: Painter and mixed media artist. Work on collaborative art projects along side actors musicians and choreographers to help coordinate effective visuals for a performance.

Locations: Suffolk

Experience: Have had exhibitions and worked for different arts organisations on a freelance basis. Have worked for and with Bury St Edmunds Theatre Royal and Art Gallery, Dance East, Theatre Nomad, London school of Musical Theatre, The museum of Childhood (part of V and A). Was Artist in Resident at South Hill Park, Bracknell, Berkshire and Windsor Art Centre.
