Experience: Anne has been creating artworks for public spaces and private homes since the early 1990’s. She has won several awards and appeared on numerous television programmes. She is a professional member of BAMM (British association for Modern Mosaic).

Summary: Artist and Educator, working in performance, film and photography. I have recently been awarded an Arts Council Grant, for Research and Professional Development, to explore strategies for sustaining a successful art practice. This is an exciting project and a fantastic opportunity to have Robert Pacitti as my mentor. I am passionate about art being accessible to all and learning taking place within a creative environment. I am available to facilitate and run projects, workshops and deliver the Arts Awards in both traditional and non traditional educational settings.

Experience: I have twenty years experience as a practicing artist,making, producing and exhibiting work nationally and internationally. In my capacity as an educator, I have over 15 years of teaching/lecturing experience and delivering creative projects. Recently having worked with juvenile offenders, delivering media studies, digital imaging, film production, photography and the Arts Award.

Summary: Suffolk PAD (paint & draw) Opening Sept 1st 2013.

Is a completely new concept in Art Groups – offering the benefits of an Art School with the convenience and price structure of an Art Group.

Open Tuesday – Sunday 10am – 4pm

Members will be able to attend as often as they wish and stay all day if they want to. Tuition will be on hand, exercises and projects can be set for you or you can simply ‘do your own thing’.

Suitable for beginners and more experienced painters, the grounds here will be available for subject matter and resources will be ‘in house’. Members will also have opportunities to practice techniques, study and learn theory.

Annual membership fees will be £50 pp with attendance fee of £20 for each day you attend, we will hold membership only exhibitions with a web page dedicated to showing members work. Artists materials and a picture framing service are also available at discount prices for members.

Non members are welcome to attend at a cost of £30 per day.

Locations: Tells stories in 100 or so schools each year all over UK and Ireland – will visit anywhere that pays him (almost!)

Experience: John has been a full time professional storyteller for almost 20 years and has been paid to tell stories in one form or another for 40 years

Art forms: Textiles, Craft

Summary: I am a weaver/textile artist. My studio practice is combined with teaching. Combining traditional techniques with contemporary design, my work ranges from fine silk scarves to 3D woven art. Materials used are mainly natural fibres, especially silk; yarns are coloured and painted making each item unique. I also enjoy experimenting with more unusual materials such as copper wire and ‘found materials’.

Experience: I have had a varied teaching career, and am an experienced weaver.

As Artist Educator for the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts I design and facilitate workshops for schools, families and outreach groups.

I have led workshops for the Salthouse/Cley Contemporary Art Project since 2008 running sessions for schools, families, carers and clients and special needs groups.

At Dragon Hall in Norwich I run the weaving Summer Schools and teach textile courses.

I provide talks and demonstrations for guilds and groups.

At the Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind I work as a volunteer running The Living Art Group for older people. I have many years experience working with children and young people with visual impairment.

My teaching career encompasses early years to further education.

Qualifications: Qualified teacher. BA Lit, PGCE, RSA Cert TEFL, B,phil (Special Education visual impairment), Creative Textiles level 3, distinction in Access in Art and Design.

Committee member Norfolk Contemporary Craft Society.  

Projects: Projects can be from one hour tasters to full courses. Examples of topics include simple weaving with the emphasis on creativity and exploration using found natural and recycled materials.

Community tapestries are a more sustained project with themes relevant to a given group.

Dyeing sessions explore the use of colour.

Feltmaking workshops can result in individual designs to take home at the end of the session, or in communal panels for display.

Some examples of previous projects include workshop leader for community basketry project with NNAB/Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts; a series of curriculum related feltmaking days for Northgate High School; and recently ‘Birds and Other Creatures’ family day for Cley 12 Art Festival weaving into willow shapes with a range of exciting and colourful materials.

Qualifications: Bronze and Silver Arts Awards Advisor/Trainer. Stage One Moderation – Certificate in FE Teaching (Level 4). Completed SAFE Child Protection Training. CRB checked.
